National Sports Clinics was founded in 1987 by Mary Nutter to provide softball coaches at all levels access to the highest quality instruction possible in order to help them become better coaches. We realize that coaches - whether it's a dad coaching his daughter and her friends or a coach who has led her high school team to a state championship - they want to do their best and we want to help them. We are committed to helping you achieve your goals as a coach and, in turn, helping your players.

Our National Softball Coaches Clinics feature some of the most knowledgeable, successful and passionate instructors in the world. We believe our pool of instructors is unrivaled. They are dedicated to helping our clinic participants become better coaches and enjoy the game. When you attend one of our clinics you will see firsthand the love and passion our instructors have for our sport!

Providing the highest quality instruction possible is our primary focus and we accomplish that in an organized, relaxed, fun environment. We offer a variety of topics and encourage participants to take the opportunity to interact with instructors, ask questions and discuss softball throughout the two-day clinics. In addition to more than 12 hours of instruction, our clinics feature softball exhibits, a coach's packet for all participants and a social hour Friday night.

Each June, we also hold the NSC Recruiting Tournament in Kansas City. We offer teams a modified game format that maximizes their ability to showcase their skills and talents. Information will be posted on our home page. Each year we have at least 50 college coaches register to attend. In 2013, we awarded our first Mary Nutter Scholarships - $1,000 each - to two deserving young women who competed in our tournament. This is a tradition we look forward to continuing!

On July 25, 2012, Mary passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while vacationing in Colorado. Mary's loss has been felt profoundly by many people throughout the softball world and most especially by her family and friends. She was a one-of-a-kind person who was very passionate about education, loved the sport of softball and found a way to combine the two and help thousands of softball coaches across the U.S. She approached every day as a gift and lived her life to the fullest, enriching the lives of others along the way. Mary was involved in her community, her church, the catering business she co-owned with one of her best friends, and the lives of her family and friends. She lived a life of service and led by example. Mary is deeply missed, but she wanted the clinics to continue on and had made arrangements for that to happen. We hope that if you have attended our clinics in the past, you will continue and if not, that you will join us for two days of learning, networking and fun.

Along with clinics, we offer a variety of instructional books and dvds to assist coaches. We also offer a wide variety of softball-related merchandise in our catalog and online store — everything from educational material to equipment and training tools to gift items.
